OUR PURPOSE

Inspire the Marketplace

BY SERVING THE GREATER GOOD

Sustainability is a systems approach to life’s resources and decision making that attends to economics, people, and the environment, so as to thrive in perpetuity. Your business can provide a good or service AND it can defy marketplace expectations by taking a triple bottom line approach, deliberately working to help people and the natural world, and in doing so, inspiring the marketplace. Path Collective can help you make this a reality through talent transformation, sustainability strategic planning and thought leadership to help your company make a positive influence. Use your business as a force for good.

Path Collective guides purpose-driven people, teams, and organizations to leverage their unique strengths and unlock their potentials to cultivate vibrant, productive workplaces, meaningful impact, and business success.

  • We believe in a sustainable business model, meaning that companies should not only be used as a means to profit their owner(s)/shareholders, but they should also be making a positive impact on employees, the communities in which they operate, and on the environment. Path Collective is a proud Certified B Corp.

  • Path Collective's Code of Ethics includes our purpose, values, and identified stakeholders. It guides our decision-making and behaviors, as well as allows stakeholders insight into who we are and how we operate. In addition to abiding by the laws of Colorado, the United States and the other states and countries in which we serve our clients, we have also developed a Code of Business Conduct to guide and align our behaviors. It is as follows:

Engage with empathy and kindness. This pertains to ourselves, our employees, our clients, our vendors, the natural world, and our community. Every single person inherently deserves respect.

We create a safe and equitable space for our employees. Each person requires physical, emotional, and psychological safety to step out of their comfort zones and work toward their potential. We curate environments wherein people can reach their potentials.

Design and facilitate exceptional client engagements. Our purpose is to elevate clients’ effectiveness to create positive change. This requires us to have a deep understanding of clients’ purpose and values, pain points and strategy, previous experiences, and talents to enable us to custom design engagements that will give them the tools to build trust and execute.

We strive for continuous growth and learning. While we can aim for perfection, we understand that it does not exist. We will learn from all successes and mishaps in pursuit of growth.

Maintain client confidentiality. Vulnerability is required for growth, and we applaud the courage it takes to be vulnerable. One of the ways we create trust is by maintaining confidentiality.

Engage in rigorous triple bottom line decisions. It is imperative that we take the long-view in decision-making, which isn’t necessarily the easiest, fastest or cheapest. Though our business is in a small, rural, mountain town with limited vendors, whenever possible, we will support local, minority-owned vendors and sustainability-sourced products. When not possible, we will make the next best choice. We look to support B Corps.

Engage in our Community. This includes volunteering in our community and giving 1% of our proceeds to the Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley. It also includes engaging in and supporting the B Corps community.

Make environmentally-positive choices. Minimize negative environmental impacts. Be carbon neutral. Minimize waste. Support business that are actively reversing negative environmental impacts.

Path Collective is a proud Certified B Corp. We encourage you to take your company's pulse by using the free, online assessment called The B Impact Assessment.

  • Part of being a B Corp is being conscious of and measuring environmental and social impacts, as well as being transparent about them. We manage what we measure, so each year we set a new target goal so we can continue to improve our impact. Stay tuned for our forthcoming impact report.

    COMMITMENT TO ENVIRONMENT

The Path team strives to make a minimal carbon footprint by commuting via bike/foot whenever possible.

Our home-office uses recycled goods and non-toxic cleaners, utilizes passive solar light & heat, heats with an energy-efficient wood-burning stove, and off-sets 100% of our electric through the City of Gunnison’s wind program.

    RENEWABLE ENERGY:
    2018 = 18% | 2019 = 30% | 2020 = 100% | 2021 = 100%

2022 & 2023 = Off-set auto & air travel through Terrapass; 100% renewable energy offsets via the City of Gunnison.
